MediaKind has announced plans to acquire Harmonic’s video business in a strategic deal valued at approximately $145 million. The deal, expected to close in the first half of 2026, will combine two experienced video technology companies, strengthening their work in streaming services, appliance platforms, and cloud video solutions.

The merger positions MediaKind to deliver video solutions to the market more quickly by integrating the engineering teams, R&D centers, and product roadmaps of both companies. With the acquisition, the combined entity is expected to generate over $100 million in annual recurring revenue and more than $150 million in annual appliance revenue.

“This combination represents a meaningful step forward in our long-term strategy and reflects our commitment to supporting customers with enhanced product solutions,” said Allen Broome, CEO of MediaKind. “By joining Harmonic’s video business with MediaKind, we can invest more broadly across our portfolio and accelerate innovation, creating a stronger, more reliable partner for the future of video.”

Nimrod Ben-Natan, CEO of Harmonic, added that the deal allows Harmonic to focus on its core Broadband segment while ensuring the video business, its customers, and employees continue to thrive under MediaKind. He said he is proud of the video team and looks forward to the business’s next steps.

The acquisition will make MediaKind stronger in video and streaming, offer better services to customers, and help the company grow.
