Key Background:
Samsung has announced the introduction of the Galaxy Easy Compensation program, designed to offer a simple and convenient way for customers to sell their used Galaxy smartphones. The program, which will officially launch on January 14, 2025, through Samsung’s official website, enables users to sell their phones without the requirement to purchase a new one.
The initiative is available for a wide range of popular Galaxy models, including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series. However, the availability of specific models may vary depending on the country.
To participate, customers can visit the program’s dedicated page on Samsung.com to assess the estimated value of their device. After accepting the offer, they can ship their used smartphones to Samsung via a courier service. Once Samsung receives the phone, it will be inspected and categorized based on its condition, with three potential grading options: Excellent, Good, or Recycle. Compensation will be determined accordingly, offering a fair payment based on the phone’s grade.
The Galaxy Easy Compensation program not only provides customers with an easy way to sell their used devices but also aligns with Samsung’s efforts to promote sustainability. By purchasing back old phones, the company aims to reduce electronic waste and contribute to a circular economy through reuse and recycling initiatives. Initially available in South Korea, the program is expected to expand to other regions in the near future. Samsung has partnered with Likewize to manage the logistics, including the collection and payment processes, ensuring a smooth experience for participants.
